Property licence household
Are you a property owner or manager confused about the wording with regards to the new landlords property licence legislation?
What is considered a household?
Following the guidelines set out by the 2004 housing act, the following would be considered a household:
- Family members or relatives living together such as parents, children, brothers, sisters, uncles, step-children and such like.
- Couples living together as husband and wife or the equivalent relationship for same sex partners.
- Any half relatives will be considered as full relatives and would come under point one made above.
- Any domestic staff which are living in their employers property and is not paying rent will be included as part of the one household.
